Alghazanth

Alghazanth is an artistic entity channeling the twin stream of all-devouring Darkness and the profound Enlightenment that lies hidden therein. The core of this beast is Black Metal, majestic atmosphere forms the flesh around its bones and Occult Satanism runs through its veins. Though its faces have been many and the shape has shifted often, its current manifestation harbours five damned souls in its flaming heart.

VALUE : 9/10

Review from metal-archives.com :
Carach Angren's second full-length album "Death Came Through A Phantom Ship" is another concept album .As a band's second album ,well, this is a masterpiece that they can hardly come with a better release. Carach Angren can be considered as one of the best Symphonic black metal bands nowadays because unlike other bands they are characterized by their marvelous poetic lyrics , extraordinary music and talented musicians.

The quality of the album is great, unlike other black metal bands that try to keep their releases low-produced which make it clearer to us that they are not just another symphonic metal band.

All in all, this album is the one if you are looking for a new style of Synchs and rhymes, a masterpiece well made by the band.

What is Symphonic Black Metal?

Symphonic black metal is a style of black metal that uses symphonic and orchestral elements. This may include the usage of melodic instruments found in the sections of a symphony orchestra (string instruments, brass instruments, woodwinds and keys). Vocals can be “clean” or operatic in style, song structures are more defined or are inspired by symphonies.

However, much of the characteristics of “traditional” black metal are retained, such as shrieked vocals, fast tempos and high-pitched electric guitars often played with tremolo picking. The sound is not always literally symphonic; that simply refers to the thick-sounding instrumentation and arpeggios, dramatic soundscapes. Nor is its connection to black metal always readily audible; although nearly all of symphonic black metal bands started out playing standard black metal, symphonic black metal often bears little surface resemblance to its immediate forebear.
